Sparring is a fighting techinque that we learn at yellow belt. As you get older there are more rules you have to follow, you have to hit with more power, and you are allowed to do more techinques.
Gear that you will need
- Chest guard
- Hear guard
- forearm guards
- shin guards
- gloves
- Mouth piece
- If you are a boy groin guard
What you can do in a match
- can punch to the chest(with a clenched fist)
- Can kick to the chest and the head(only if you are 12 and older)
- Can block
What you can't do in a match
- Stepping out of the ring
- falling down intentionally
- Avoiding the match
- Grabbing, holding or puching
- Pretending an injury
- attacking below the waist
- Hitting your opponent in the face
Point System
- You get one point for a hit to the body
- You get two points for a spainning kick to the body
- You get three points for a kick to the head
- You get four points for a spinning kick to the head
- You can lose points if you go out of bouce
- You can lose points with you hit to the head (if you are under 12 years old)
How to win a Sparring match
- At the end of three round who ever has the most points win
- By knocking someone out(If you are older than 15 years old)
- In over time(Who ever gets the first point wins)
- If no-one get a point after over time, who ever showed the best techniques in the match wins
